Foot length in cm is used to determine your size. Here are instructions for taking your measurement and finding the right size. Standing, place your bare foot on a sheet of paper and trace the outline (or ask someone to do it for you) with a pencil held vertically. Repeat for the other foot. If the measurements obtained are not identical, keep the larger of the two. Find your size using the table below, by looking at which size corresponds to your foot length measurement.

Regarding the width of your foot, we cannot provide you with a table because this measurement is very delicate to take. To determine if you need a foot width option, rely on your usual shoes. If the width of your usual shoes suits you, do not take a foot width option. If you are often tight in shoes in your size or, conversely, if shoes in your size are generally too wide for your foot, choose the custom option in the size drop-down menu.

INSTEP

The instep is the most prominent place on the top of the foot, just below the ankle. This is also a fairly difficult measurement to take accurately, so it's best to rely on your feelings based on your usual shoes. If you find that your instep is stronger or thinner than average, we recommend you choose the custom option in the size drop-down menu.

The Gardiane Basket

Immerse yourself in a world where French know-how, sustainability, and contemporary style intertwine with the new Gardiane sneakers. Designed and crafted with clean, elegant lines, these full-grain leather sneakers are not only a symbol of comfort and practicality, but also a tribute to the quality and durability that characterize our creations.

The upper leather, sourced from the century-old Alsatian tanneries Haas, a company awarded the "Living Heritage Company" label, has been at the heart of our history and products since our inception. Named Suportlo for its remarkable water resistance, this exceptional leather, retanned with hot grease for six generations, is distinguished by its lasting suppleness, preventing hardening and cracking over time. Made from exclusive calfskin from the Aveyron region, it guarantees unparalleled thickness and quality.

Each pair is meticulously cut, stitched, and carefully finished in our workshop. For the assembly of the sole and upper, we rely on a French subcontractor, pending the possible acquisition of machinery that would allow us to perform this step in our workshops in the future.

OUR Atelier La Botte Gardiane is located in the Gard region of France. It has been recognized as a Métier d'Art (Craftsmanship) workshop since 2016 and we hold the label. French Living Heritage Company since 2007.

Upper, lining and insole: Leather & Foam

Outsole: Rubber, 2cm high. Side stitched construction, made in France by our partner manufacture 49.

Leather: Full-grain oiled leather retanned with hot grease, highly water-resistant. The thickness of this leather makes it very robust and gives it excellent durability over time. French tannery Haas.

Laces: Two pairs: One classic in fabric, made by a French house, La Chotelaise & one in leather, made from our leather scraps.
