For closed sandals (Caroles, Cilaos, Jérôme, Fisherman and Geronimo, Serge): we recommend that you choose one size larger than your usual size. For men's sandals: we recommend that you choose your usual size. If in doubt, sizing recommendations are provided in the shoe descriptions. For oily leathers and waxy split leather, we recommend cleaning the leather with a damp sponge and then applying a colorless grease with a soft cloth. To remove any scratches, apply a small amount of shoe polish. We do not recommend using Sapo grease because to soften the leather, it breaks its fibers and thus alters its integrity. Prefer natural greases such as those you can find on our website in the "Care and Repair" section.
For Camargue full-grain, suede, or glitter leathers, it is essential to apply a waterproofer before first use to protect your shoe from liquids that could stain it. To remove dust, you can use a brush or a cloth; for stains, prefer a suede eraser. For grease stains, you can apply a dry stain remover or Sommières® clay. We advise you to test the product's behavior on a less visible part of the shoe before applying it to the entire surface.
For our soft calf leather range, we recommend our leather cream. This should be applied with a soft cloth.
For python print leathers and hairy leathers, they should be waterproofed with a solvent-free waterproofing spray before wearing them for the first time. You can also use a comb to clean the hairs.

Measuring your calf circumference:It is recommended to take this measurement while sitting, barefoot, ensuring your foot is flat on the ground. Measure the circumference of your calf at its widest point, taking into account the height of the boot.
Measuring your boot height:To take this measurement, you need to be standing, straight, barefoot, with your foot flat on the ground. For ease, ask a third person to measure the desired height from the ground, along the side of your leg. The maximum boot height is 3 cm below the hollow of the knee, as a boot reaching into the hollow of the knee could be uncomfortable when crouching. Note that this measurement does not include the total height of the boot (including sole and heel).
Measuring your instep: Regarding your instep, the simplest way is to determine if you have noticed with other shoes that you have a thin, wide, or rather normal instep.
